Peel off nose mask w/ activated charcoal

This is a super simple and quick replacement for those pore cleansing strips you occasionally remember to use.  But they have a role to play in a good self-care regimen to reduce inflammation, prevent breakouts, clear blackheads and strip excess oils.  And let's be honest, they're so fun!

It’s a 5 ingredient recipe and something I usually keep on hand to use about once a week on clean, damp skin.

2 tbs Activated Charcoal Powder

2 tbs of Collagen Powder

8 drops Tea Tree Oil

8 drops Rosemary Oil

2-3 tbsp of water.

Step 1. - Pour Activated Charcoal and Collagen Powder into a bowl and mix well with a spoon.

Step 2. - Add your essential oil to the water and slowly pour liquid into the collagen and charcoal mixture, mixing well as you add.  You want the consistency to be thick, but not muddy or sludgy, so keep slowly adding water and mixing until you reach that texture.

Step 3. - Transfer to a microwave-safe container and microwave in short 5-8 second bursts until the mixture is warm, but not boiling (it can happen quickly! But it's pretty easy to clean up.  Just peel it off, obviously).

Step 4. - Take the mixture out of the microwave and begin stirring immediately, using your facial brush.  You want to apply the nose strip while warm and melted, but NOT pipping hot. Don't burn your skin, sis!

Step 5. - Apply a thick layer on your nose. You can also do this to your entire T-Zone if you are prone to oily skin.

Step 6. - Leave the mask on until completely dry and then proceed to try and peel it off in one piece. Don't worry if you have to pick off some smaller pieces.

Active ingredients:

Activated Charcoal: Draws moisture, oil, toxins and microbes from the skin.

Tea Tree Oil: Gives the strips an amazing tingle, while reducing inflammation, encouraging wound healing, fighting acne and break up oil plugs that lead to blackheads.

Rosemary Oil: Anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, antioxidants,

Collagen: This is really used to emulsify and bind the contents, and though collagen is excellent for skin, this application won’t give you any collagen benefits.
